What happens to my bonus points when First Member joins the Global Hotel Alliance?
You keep all your current points and benefits. You can redeem points you have already earned and use them for reward stays or food and non-alcoholic beverages at our restaurants.
What changes does this imply for me?
You will become a member of Scandinavia’s most innovative loyalty program – now offering benefits worldwide through our affiliation with the Global Hotel Alliance. You will receive a new membership card from First Member / GHA Discovery and new login information for your personal pages.
How many membership tier levels are there?
First Member features three different membership tier levels: Gold, Platinum and Black. The membership starts with First Member Gold. To be upgraded to the next membership level requires a specified number of qualifying overnight stays within a 12-month period.
What does it take to get upgraded to the next membership level?
To be upgraded to the next membership level requires a specified number of qualifying overnight stays at a First Hotel or other GHA affiliated hotel. You maintain the new membership tier level for one year unless you qualify for the next level in the meanwhile. And even if you don’t succeed in retaining any of the two higher membership levels you will always keep your Gold membership.
What happens if I don’t have enough overnight stays during a year?
If after your upgrade you have not over the course of a year spent enough nights to maintain your membership level you will be downgraded one tier level. You will never be moved more than one level down at the time over a twelve-month period. And even if you don’t succeed in retaining any of the two higher membership levels you will always keep your Gold membership.
How many points do I get?
You earn 1 point for every Scandinavian currency unit you spend at First Hotels. 1 NOK / SEK / DKK = 1 point.
What can I use the points for?
You can use your bonus points for reward stays at the hotels or food and non-alcoholic beverages at our restaurants. A reward stay requires 10,000 – 15.000 points, depending on the hotel or the period you choose. 2,500 point equals 125 kroner (Scandinavian currency units) at First Hotels restaurants and bars.
Where can I access my bonus point status?
