First Hotel Kong Frederik

First Hotel Kong Frederik was originally two separate guesthouses, which in the 1880s were called Industrihotellet and Hotel de Boulevard. The hotels underwent extensive redevelopment in 1898 and two years later the hotels were re-launched under the names Hotel Hafnia and Hotel Kong Frederik. In 1973, the owners had no desire to continue management of the hotel, which was soon after sold to the owners of Hotel Kong Frederik. The new and expanded Hotel Kong Frederik reopened in 1976. The hotel has since undergone refurbishment but the rooms and façade have retained their classical English-inspired style and charm.
